Sports Academia at The Fields is a new initiative that integrates academic learning and sports. For Fall of 2020, the focus will be on supervising your child’s remote learning in conjunction with physical activities. The Fields will offer a unique opportunity for children, grades K-8, where supervision will be offered by an educational professional to assist in their virtual school learning. This program, Sports Academia, will also offer extracurricular activities as well as various sports to round out a full day of education and sports.
Children will be broken into cohorts of up to 10 kids. There will be an educational professional to supervise all educational activities as well as technical staff to aid in any hardware, internet, software setups. Please bring your own wifi enabled laptop/device, headphones, charger, and any other materials needed to conduct virtual schooling. High speed internet will be available.
During scheduled breaks and lunch, we will have on field activities to get the kids moving, but after the virtual school session is complete, is when the fun begins! Various sports, arts and crafts and more, will be available for the kids as “after school activities”.
We are a 50,000 sq foot multi-sport facility with separated rooms where individual desks will be arranged with a minimum of 6-foot clearance. A mask is always required to be worn, except during sports activities. You may opt out of sports and enjoy other indoor activities instead. The Facility includes an indoor 20,000 sq foot artificial turf playing field, basketball court, batting cage, speed and agility room and multi purpose room. Fully climate controlled
We have protocols in place that are continuously updated to keep up with current State and CDC guidelines.
These protocols include, but are not limited to:
Children and Staff will be required to wear masks except while eating and physical activities.
The Facility will be cleaned under the guidance of CDC, this included but not limited to continually cleaning of high traffic/highly touched surfaces and bathrooms throughout the day, cleaning of equipment used for activities and cleaning of each table and chair.
The Facility will remain in stock with PPE, hand sanitizer and proper cleaning supplies following CDC guidelines.
Drop off and Pick up are facilitated outside the facility's entrance to limit the number of people entering the building.
Daily temperature checks and health screenings are required for all children and staff. Anyone with a 100.4+ fever will not be allowed to enter the building.
You will be asked to provide your child's school district/school, grade and school schedule to help create the best cohorts possible. If you would like your child group with anyone specific, please reach out and we will do our best to do so. Group rates of 10+ children are available.
REFUND POLICY: Spots will be limited. We ask that if you no longer are in need of the Remote Learning program, that you inform us as soon as possible to release that spot to someone else. As long as you cancel before 24 hours of your next scheduled date, you will receive a full refund of all unused time. If we need to close the facility for any reason, we will push your registration to another date or provide a full refund if we can not do so.
